Terms of Service
Last updated 17 September 2026
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Zogal ("Zogal", "we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of our website, applications and related services (together, the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract to use the Services. By using the Services you represent that you meet these requirements.
2. The Services
Zogal provides tools for recording, organising and understanding personal finances, including figures such as an estimated daily allowance and warnings about spending pace. The Services are informational tools based on the data you supply. Zogal is not a bank, payment institution, broker or financial adviser; we do not hold, move or manage your money, and nothing in the Services constitutes financial, investment, tax or legal advice. You are solely responsible for decisions you make in reliance on the Services.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are compromised, used in breach of these Terms, or created by persons who are not eligible.
4. Licence and acceptable use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Services for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not: - use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable law; - attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services, other accounts or our systems; - interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services; - reverse engineer, decompile or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Services except as permitted by law; - copy, resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Services; - upload content that is unlawful, infringing, malicious or that you do not have the right to upload; or - use automated means to access the Services other than through interfaces we provide.
5. Your content
You retain all rights in the data and content you submit to the Services ("Your Content"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process and display Your Content solely to provide and improve the Services for you. You are responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the rights necessary to submit it.
6. Subscriptions and payment
6.1 Free and paid plans Core features of the Services are available free of charge. Additional features may be offered under paid subscription plans described in the Services at the time of purchase.
6.2 Billing Paid plans are billed in advance for the subscription period selected, in the currency shown at checkout, through our third-party payment processors. By providing a payment method you authorise us and our processors to charge the applicable fees, including on automatic renewal, until you cancel. Prices exclude taxes unless stated otherwise; you are responsible for any applicable taxes.
6.3 Trials Where a free trial is offered, your paid subscription begins automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends. Where a payment method is required to start a trial, a small verification charge may be made and refunded.
6.4 Renewal and cancellation Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time from inside the Services; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you retain access until then.
6.5 Price changes We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Changes take effect at your next renewal after the notice period.
6.6 Refunds Except where required by applicable law or expressly stated in the Services, fees are non-refundable. Refund requests may be submitted from inside the Services and are considered at our reasonable discretion.
6.7 Failed payments If a payment fails we may retry it and notify you. If payment is not received within the grace period stated in the Services, paid features may be suspended until payment is made.
7. Intellectual property
The Services, including all software, design, text, graphics, trademarks and logos, are owned by Zogal or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the licence expressly granted in Section 4, no rights are granted to you.
8. Third-party services
The Services rely on third-party providers, including payment processors, and may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Services available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. Where a change materially reduces the functionality of a paid plan, we will provide reasonable notice and, where appropriate, a pro-rated refund.
10. Disclaimers
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. FIGURES PRODUCED BY THE SERVICES ARE ESTIMATES DERIVED FROM DATA YOU SUPPLY AND MAY BE INCOMPLETE OR INACCURATE.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ZOGAL AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS AND SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS, HOWEVER CAUSED AND UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM AND (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD 100). NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES OR LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING LIABILITY FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE, OR FOR FRAUD.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zogal and its officers, employees and contractors from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to Your Content, your use of the Services, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.
13. Termination
You may close your account at any time from inside the Services. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continued provision would expose us to legal risk, and will tell you why where the law allows. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including Sections 5, 7, 10, 11, 12, 15 and 16, will survive.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The date at the top indicates when they were last revised. Where a change is material we will notify you through the Services or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Zogal is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction, save that nothing in this Section deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of the country in which you reside. Before commencing proceedings, the parties agree to attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute by negotiation for a period of 30 days.
16. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any plan-specific terms presented at purchase, constitute the entire agreement between you and Zogal regarding the Services. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Notices to you may be given through the Services or to the email address on your account.
